You pick the model when you join the program; it applies to all your referrals from that point forward. You can switch once per quarter. Most affiliates pick recurring (20%) because it compounds, but creators with high traffic and low audience-LTV (one-off purchases) sometimes prefer the 50% upfront model.

How long does the cookie last?

Accepted Answer

90 days. If a visitor clicks your link, leaves, and comes back to sign up within 90 days, the commission still attributes to you — even if they sign up via a direct visit, search, or another marketing channel.

What payment methods do you support for payouts?

Accepted Answer

Bitcoin (on-chain or Lightning), USDC on Polygon, or USD bank transfer (Net-30 invoicing). Crypto payouts go out within 48 hours of the monthly close. USD bank transfers process within 30 days. Minimum payout threshold is $50 equivalent — anything below rolls to the next month.

Is there a minimum traffic threshold to join?

No. Bronze tier has no minimums. The tier system rewards higher volume but you can sign up and earn from day one with any traffic level. The free coupon codes and dedicated support kick in at Silver+.

Question 5

Can I run paid ads to my affiliate link?

Accepted Answer

Yes, with two restrictions: (1) you cannot bid on the SilentHosts brand name or close variants on Google / Bing / Microsoft Ads (we already rank for our own brand and PPC competition wastes both our budgets), (2) you cannot use any platform that prohibits the affiliate program's offering (e.g. some networks have policies against offshore-hosting affiliate ads — that's between you and the network).

What's the refund / chargeback policy on commissions?

Accepted Answer

If a referred customer requests a refund within the 7-day money-back window, the corresponding commission is reversed (debited from your next payout). Past 7 days, refunds are pro-rated and have no commission impact. Chargebacks are debited fully — fraud detection is your responsibility for traffic you bring.

When does Tier promotion happen?

Tier review happens at the end of each calendar month based on the trailing 30-day rolling sales count. Promotion is automatic and you'll see new commission rates apply on the 1st of the following month. Demotion is also automatic — but with a 60-day grace period at the higher tier before demotion takes effect.
